San Pasqual Valley Groundwater Basin

Basin Facts Made Basic

Our team at CityWorks supported the prime consulting team’s efforts to convey complex topics for both the development of the study plan and for the project’s collaterals. These materials are subject to a high level of scrutiny from regulators, policymakers, the media and community stakeholders alike.

Because of our extensive work in areas specific to planning and managing water resources including groundwater basins, our team
was ready to support the prime with technical editing and public-facing fact sheets. We retained the writer’s meaning and technical content
while simplifying and strengthening copy. Review included grammar, structure, logic, and the capacity of figures, tables, and infographics to carry the information. The result was improved readability, consistent style usage, and a unified voice so that copy was relatable to its intended audience and cohesive regardless of the number of contributing original authors. In addition to editing, our design team provided graphic design and formatting for the plan document and two fact sheets. This work met the brand requirements of the City of San Diego while also improving and formatting technical data such as photos, charts, infographics, maps and tables.
